Liver Function Testing at TEKlaB Laboratory
Your liver performs over 500 vital functions including detoxification, protein synthesis, and bile production. Liver function tests help detect liver disease, monitor medication effects, and assess overall liver health.
Complete Liver Panel Includes
ALT & AST
Liver enzymes that detect hepatocellular damage. Elevated in hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis.
GGT (Gamma-GT)
Sensitive marker for bile duct problems and alcohol-related liver damage.
Bilirubin (Total & Direct)
Yellow pigment indicating liver's ability to process waste. High levels cause jaundice.
Alkaline Phosphatase
Enzyme elevated in bile duct obstruction and certain liver diseases.
Albumin & Total Protein
Measures liver's protein production ability. Low albumin indicates chronic liver disease.
PT/INR
Prothrombin time assesses liver's clotting factor production.
