Lower UTI (Cystitis)

Urine Sample Collection Instructions
Proper collection is crucial for accurate results:
- Clean hands: Wash thoroughly with soap and water
- Clean genital area: Use provided wipes or soap, front to back
- Midstream collection: Start urinating, then collect middle portion
- Sterile container: Don't touch inside of container or lid
- First morning urine: Most concentrated, best for testing
- Deliver quickly: Within 2 hours or refrigerate immediately
- Before antibiotics: Collect before starting treatment if possible
